The charming little mountain village of Imlil is the obligatory point of passage for all hikers who wish to undertake the ascent of Mount Toubkal (4167 meters), the second highest peak in Africa after Kilimanjaro.
Located 64 kilometers from Marrakech, Imlil is the gateway to the Toubkal National Park. You will take the road towards the gorges of Asni, a picturesque village known for its Saturday souk.
The road continues along a green valley where the mountains which constitute impressive natural bastions, play with colors.
In the middle of the mountains nestle Berber villages with earthen houses surrounded by terraced crops.
Each village is nestled against the foothills of the Atlas and built in terraces. You will observe this succession of very varied landscapes and a luxuriant vegetation.
Arriving in Imlil, your guide will be waiting for you to make you discover the village, its landscapes and its waterfalls. The guide will also make you discover the culture of the Berber people.
After a two-hour hike, he will take you to a delicious restaurant for you to eat.
At the end of your excursion, your driver will take you back to the Riad after this unforgettable experience.
